Day 1 of Honeymoon

Seth and I got up around 4:00 a.m. to shower, finish packing, and hop in the car to drive down to the airport. It was about an hour drive and we wanted to leave by 5:00 in order to get to the airport by 6:00. Our flight was leaving at 8:00 so we figured we'd give ourselves 2 hours to be on the safe side. Pleasant surprise: our friends are used car chalk to scrawl "JUST MARRIED" onto the car!

13 hours, 1 stop in San Francisco, 2 bad movies later we were in Maui! And it was hot! When we left home, it was probably around 50 degrees out but in Maui it was at least 80, maybe 90! We bussed over to the National rental place to pick up our convertible and off we went! The Kahului airport in Maui is in the central portion of the island and our hotel was on the western, so it took us about an hour to get there, but it was worth the wait!
